SportSpark Privacy Policy

By using SportSpark, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1) Who SportSpark Is For
SportSpark is intended for users age 17 and older and is designed mainly for college athletes. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 17 to use the Services. If you believe a user under 17 has provided us information, contact us at admin@sportspark.app.
2) Key Privacy Points
You can only be anonymous in-app. Your content is tied to an auto-generated username, not your real name.
Community content is not public on the internet. Posts and messages are only visible to logged-in users.
Other users can still screenshot. Even though content is anonymous, you should avoid sharing sensitive details you don’t want others to copy or share.
No ads, no tracking for advertising, no selling data. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your data for targeted advertising.
We don’t provide medical advice and we don’t use content to diagnose any condition.
3) Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide
When you create an account or use the Services, we may collect:
Account information: email address, date of birth, mobile number (for verification), and an auto-generated username.
School/athlete status verification: information you provide (or that you confirm) to support eligibility/verification.
Anonymous content you submit: anonymous posts and messages you choose to create in the app.
B. Information Collected Automatically
To operate and secure the Services, we may collect:
Device and app information: device type, operating system version, app version, and basic device identifiers.
Log and diagnostic information: general activity logs and crash/error reports (e.g., to fix bugs and prevent abuse).
Location: SportSpark does not collect precise location data. We do not use your information to determine or store your precise location.
4) How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide and operate the Services (account creation, login, messaging, community features).
Maintain safety and integrity (prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and enforce our policies).
Verify eligibility (including school/athlete status verification).
Respond to you (support requests and communications).
Improve the Services (debugging, performance monitoring, and feature improvements).
No Medical Advice / No Diagnosis
SportSpark content is for wellness and peer support purposes only. We do not provide medical advice and we do not use posts or messages to diagnose any health condition.
5) How We Share Information
We may share information in these limited circumstances:
A. With Service Providers
We may share information with vendors who help us run the Services (e.g., hosting, database services, security, and customer support). They may only use your information to perform services for us and must protect it.
B. For Legal, Safety, and Policy Reasons
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
Comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
Protect the rights, safety, and security of SportSpark, our users, or others.
Investigate and enforce violations of our terms and policies.
C. Business Transfers

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
6) Visibility of Anonymous Content
SportSpark is designed so that posts and messages are anonymous to other users (not tied to your real name).
Content you submit is visible to logged-in users of SportSpark.
Other users may copy or screenshot what you share.
Please be thoughtful about what you post and avoid sharing identifying details if you want to remain anonymous.
7) Data Retention
We keep information only as long as needed to operate the Services and for legitimate business and legal purposes.
Account and content: retained while your account is active.
Deletion: when you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your information unless we must keep certain data for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
8) Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is 100% secure, but we work to limit internal access and protect your data.
We also limit access internally to user information and content to those who need it to operate, support, or secure the Services.
9) Your Choices and Rights
Depending on how the Services are set up in-app, you can:
Correct your information (e.g., updating account details).
Delete your content (where available in the app).
Delete your account and data.

For safety and security, we may verify your request before acting on it.
10) International Users
SportSpark is operated by SportSpark, Inc. Your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. These locations may have different data protection laws than your region.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the app or by other means.
